Out of the Blue Celebrates Underloved Seafood

From Friday, October 7 until Sunday, October 16, GMRI is partnering with restaurants and institutions throughout the region for an Out of the Blue promotion supporting underloved seafood from the Gulf of Maine. These delicious, abundant, and well-managed species will be available at each participating restaurant during the ten-day event.

Responsible consumption of underloved species, such as redfish, dogfish, and mackerel, supports the regional fishing industry while maintaining a healthy Gulf of Maine ecosystem. Visit any of our participating restaurants for an opportunity to try this lesser-known, yet abundant, species, and to learn how GMRI and its partners are making responsibly harvested seafood a priority in the region.
