Jonathon joined GMRI in 2011 as a project manager in the Fisheries Technical Assistance Program. Based out of the north shore of Massachusetts, his work is primarily around the groundfish industry's transition to sector management, and outreach to the members of industry.
Prior to joining GMRI, Jonathon worked for the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management on its Regulatory Streamlining Initiative, and was a Graduate Fellow at the University of Rhode Island's Coastal Institute. Before beginning his graduate studies, Jonathon worked aboard the F/V Odessa targeting groundfish in the Gulf of Maine and fluke in Nantucket Sound.
Born and raised in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Jonathon's interest in fish and fishing began in earnest. Jonathon holds an undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Hamilton College, and is pursuing a Master's degree in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island.
