Antitrust Manual: An Educational Resource on Marketing Initiatives

Fishermen are increasingly exploring and developing innovative marketing initiatives. To help inform fishermen about what is legal activity under federal and state antitrust laws, GMRI developed an educational resource, "Enabling Marketing in Groundfish Sectors: A Manual for Navigating Antitrust Issues."

This manual provides information to educate and foster the various marketing initiatives currently under consideration. This document builds upon work commissioned by the Northeast Seafood Coalition during sector development in 2008 relating to federal antitrust law and matters regarding collective harvesting arrangements with respect to the sector management system.
