Christopher came to GMRI in August of 2021 where he operates LabVenture programs and teaches Maine middle school students visiting GMRI at the Cohen Center for Interactive Learning.
Prior to GMRI, Christopher received a B.A. in Communication Studies from Mount Mercy University and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from Antioch University New England, specializing in science teaching and ecology. In addition, he previously worked for the National Park Service and Colorado Parks and Wildlife along with a few other local governments focusing on environmental protection. He has also taught a combined seven years of science and environmental education across all age groups and multiple bioregions, working directly with the public outreach efforts and management of the Colorado River, Mississippi River, and Gulf of Maine watersheds.
In his free time, you'll find Christopher playing and recording music with a variety of instruments, which he has been known to use to teach science via original songs, musicals, and artistic expressions.
